Our goal is to grow the renewable energy industry in BC through sustainable business practices and high standards on installations. We don’t sell door to door, and we don’t cold call customers. We believe that solar energy installations should be based on education of consumers and clients, and that customers should never be pushed into making a quick decision on a large investment. Solar is for life, and we want to ensure that all our installations are to the highest level, and our customers are happy with their decision to go solar.
Rob Monteith, President of Okanagan Solar, trained as a Red Seal carpenter during the 1970's, working extensively as a Project Manager building large scale projects across Western Canada and the Canadian North, and has been a mainstay in construction and development his entire career..
Patrick Monteith is the Director of Operations and has been working in the solar energy field since 2015. Trained extensively in Solar energy engineering and design, he is also a certified Red Seal Journeyman Electrician, TSBC FSR-B certified, and is in constant pursuit of finding the best new products and systems in this rapidly evolving industry.
Our team is our family and our secret recipe for providing the best service to our customers. All of our installers are registered electrical apprentices or journey-people with Technical Safety BC, and our office staff are trained to take care of all the details and ensure all permits and submissions are in place for your installation. We love the people we work with and we know you will too!

Okanagan Solar is a CANSIA member, CHBA Member, and is certified to work in BC, Alberta, Ontario, The Northwest Territories and Nunavut. We complete all of our work in house, from Sales, to Design, and installation. We are certified Electrical Contractors endorsed by Technical Safety BC, all our installers are Electrical Apprentices or Journeyman Electricians, and we work closely with BC Hydro and Fortis as recognized Trade Allies.
